Student visa application – UK
UK encourages only a full time degree program. Thus applicants are advised only to apply for a full time course. Kindly avoid application towards a part time course, since that is not advised and not applicable in the UK.
Students need to attain 10 points out of the 40 points and proof that you are capable of sustaining yourself financially, as well as correct proof that they can support themselves during their course period in the UK.
Financial proof that UK immigration demands to be shown –
Your Tuition Fees – A year’s fees or the entire course fees, that is in case your course commences within a year.
Expenses to sustain yourself – Proof that an amount of £1015 per month is required to be shown for the period of the entire course or a 9 month period, which – ever is shorter in time duration. This is with respect towards the alimony for the Tier 4 visa..
Dependents
In case you need to support someone else who is dependent on you, in the UK you are required to show a minimum of £680 per month towards a 9 month time span, for a particular dependent. Proof of Finance
The UK immigration is quite stern about the fact that you need to show proof of finances towards your visa, that you possess in your own bank account, in a joint holding account(where your name should be mentioned), or in your parent’s account.
In the event that you are depending on your parent’s financial assistance, you are required to furnish the following documents –
- A) A letter of confirmation from your parent, stating that you are their very own child as well as the fact that they will be baring your expenses.
- B) Authentic / original birth certificate
- C) Parent’s financial documents
On the other hand, if you are relying on the support of relations or any other, they are reuired to do a fund transfer to your account or else in a joint account, bearing your name.
Proof of Finance from non other than your parents will be admissible by the Home office. Only an official financial or government sponsor can be permissible.
The UKVI determines an official sponsor by the following aspects –
- The UK or either your country’s government.
- The British Council Institute.
- A foreign Firm
- A reputed or known university
Mandatory Documents
The following documents are compulsory and is a stern requirement from the home office’s end –
- Building society pass books
- Letter from the bank.
- Bank statements
- Foreign account statements/letters
- Official Letter from a financial institution accredited by the Financial Services Authority
- Loan confirmation letter – It is mandatory that the loan is provided by the national government, state or regional government, a government-sponsored student loan company or part of an institutional loan program.
Your letter needs to be in English, failing which, appropriate translations are mandatory.
The 28-Day Law –
28 days law demands that your funds are in the account for this particular period, on a continuous basis, failing which your application will be rejected.
Finally, the bank statement you possess, should be within the periphery of 30 days from your date of application.
